I sit there-

Stiff and still

In my ruffled dress

I watch him everyday

The many lip curls of master

With each and every new piece

Each headed to the top shelf

But I’m the only one-

Freckled and red course hair

The others with blue eyed and blonde locked

But I’m with a soul and they, dull

I sit there-

Stiff and still

I cannot move

My eyes do not blink

My arms do not rise

My head will not turn

Lost in thought

Wishing for life

Frustrated with myself

I desire to move but..,

I sit there-

Stiff and still

I desire to blink

I long to raise my arms

I yearning to turn my head

But I’m porcelain made

Placed on a petal stood

Shacked by my role

By my expectations

I sit there-

Stiff and still

The many nights that have passed

Carved themselves into mater’s plae wrinkled skin

Each passing full moon keeping time for us

To help out the broken wind up clock

Master holds me speaking

“I’ll wait for you Marian

For as long as it takes,

My sweet, sweet, Marian”

Yet…

I sit there-

Stiff and still
