Pt. 4
After I closed the door behind Terrance, I was pretty sure I had run him off.  Men know that in today’s world if one woman won’t give them what they want they can move on to the next.  I was fine with that outcome.  I just wanted to be friends anyway.  Maybe hang out when he needed to get away from it all.  But I guess that won’t be happening.  The next morning I arrived to work 15 minutes early as usual.  Made it to my office and wondered how many more days I would work a 9 to 5 before I would finally pursue my passion.  Not much longer I hoped.  As I logged onto my computer and prepared to devour whatever breakfast I could come up with, the light on my phone began flashing.  It was a message from Terrance.  I was stunned!  It read: Enjoyed you last nite.  It was like a breath of fresh air.  I had to take a pause for the cause.  I don’t think a man in history has every thanked a woman for her time after she somewhat rejected him!  He can’t be this much of a gentleman!  This kind of man doesn’t exist anymore, do they?  I told him I enjoyed him as well and that I was glad I could be that for him.  We exchanged messages the rest of the week sprinkled with mild flirtation.  He is either the sweetest man I have ever met or he needs to take his acting skills to the big screen.  Toward the end of the week I asked him about his weekend plans.  No plans yet but I would like to see you, he typed.  For some odd reason I was speechless!  I always have something to say!  Type girl!  Really was all I could muster up.  I thought about it for a few minutes.  This may be going too far.  We don’t need to get into anything we are going to regret.  Those damn butterflies were coming back!  Where is that bug spray…fuck!  This isn’t good.  So why was my next reply: Hopefully we can make that happen?  A couple of days later he was out with his son and sends me a message.  I’ve been around long enough to know that if a man calls/texts you while he is in the middle of something you must really be on his mind.  I was getting nervous.  He was giving me too much attention.  I’m trying hard to keep us on this side of the bed…I mean fence.  But he wasn’t helping.  The next day the kids were at my mom’s again so I let him come by.  I hadn’t seen Temptation so he suggested we watch it.  We kept our distance on the couch during the whole movie.  This is going good I thought to myself!  I knew we could do it!  After it was over I told him next time we should watch Resurrection.   He hadn’t seen it and I thought that was a crying shame.  Everyone needs to see it.  “Can I get a hug”, he asked.  I wrapped my arms around him for a long minute and eventually let go.  He opens his arms for another hug and I oblige.  As my face was close to his I felt his gentle lips touch my neck.  Oh my God.  I have to pull away.  This isn’t right.  I don’t want to be his side piece!  I deserve a man of my own!  The amazingly soft lips found their way to mine.  I didn’t kiss him back.  I couldn’t.  I turned my head, but I fell weak.  I finally gave in.  I swear I felt like I was in a movie.  Dear baby Jesus.  He sat up so that he could be the aggressor.  This was the most passionate moment I think I’ve ever had the pleasure to be a part of.  I have always been a hopeless romantic.  I never gave up on one day having that amazing moment and here it was.  He was gentle, his cologne gave my nose orgasms, and he made me feel like the sexiest woman alive.  I no longer had control.
