She suppresses her gaze, trying to silence her eyes' confession; love lumping in her throat as she talks about the rain. Her smile refuses to lie for her heart as it lays claim to her face, surrendering itself to the euphoria growing inside. Her heart isn't supposed to sing, so she talks about the rain. 

He nods to distract her from the happiness invading his soul; his heartbeat syncing to the sound of her voice. Her beauty is a thief, stealing the breath from his chest. Longing begs to win, but she belongs to another, so he nods as she talks about the rain.
