Sometimes we just need the courage to find the strength within ourselves.

The building crouches alone up on the hill

Seemingly empty, curious

At first glance just a dilapidated structure

Monochrome, yet surrounded by fiery trees

Burning from the light of the sun

Inside a soul is born from the ashes

From many thoughts, agitations, anxieties, smiles

And laughter

How the sound of a muffled chuckle

Can resonate as deeply as a loud outburst

Ringing through the rooms between the cracks in the walls,

Escaping through the tiny holes and uneven beams

Flying out into the open air

Free to float on the wind

And to evade the grasp of old dreary days.

To rise up from the ashes once again

Is to be reborn into a new life

A new spiritbut the same soul, memories

Hues of reds, oranges, yellows

Bright and full of life

As if the sins of the past can be lifted and absolved.

Life is enchanting,

A mystery

A rainbow that casts a shadow both high and low

Above us, around us, but most importantly

Within us.
