A person who has touched my life, everytime I visit my native place at Village Tarur....Nothing extraordinary about him. Nothing charismatic. But there are these facets of his life which continue to touch. Getting up by 3:30 am By 4 am he is through with his bath all through out the year (even during chilly winter) By 4:30, he completes his `pooja' At about 5am he has his tea. 6 am, breakfast over. Plain Water at every home that he visits during the day Temple visits Goes to sleep by 9 pm. But now he has gone to deep slumber for us, never to wake up again.

This tribute goes to my 94 year old Chelapa `maaman' as we found call him.

A bachelor, he has dedicate his life towards Lord Ayyapa, with a 80 visit to Sabarimala as a GuruSwamy for Tarur Village.

The Strictures in his lifestyle are also reflected in his social life. Being the co-ordinator of our Vella (Village Festival) Committe, he had ensured that everyone contributes to the cause of the each and every Village festivals. The overdues in the Village Fesitval Fund was at the tip of his fingers and he could articulate it any time.

Last time when I met just before my marriage, he remembered that I had failed to contribute this year. The best part it is that he would openly scold and no grudges, please !! He even expressed that the younger generation should judiciously carry on these activities.

He enjoys walking a lot....with his umbrella.

Adopting his lifestyle may be difficult....but his good qualities may be inculcated in life for betterment.
