Facing winter

Suddenly he aksed me if I believed in love. I asked the purpose of his question but there were only tearsdrops coming from his eyes. No words nor a movement. Just teardrops pulled down by gravity. I knew that this question came from a broken heart. So I smiled at him and I said the following:

"I do not have any clue what it feels like to have a broken heart, but neither do I know what it feels like to love someone like you loved her. One thing I do know, even though life seems hard without any lover, it is not harder without. It will become better, just give it time. No, time heals no wounds at all. But it does make them more bearable. You will wake up one day and realise these tears ain't worth aything. You'll realise that life is hard but still beautiful. You'll realise that love doesn't have to be seen nor believed in. you will know its existence! It existsin you and me."

His tears had dissapeared. His hand was laying on mine now. He touched my hand like a drop touches a flower at dawn. Gently but making sure I knew it was there. He stared into my eyes and said that he felt thankfull to me. I nodded while he stood up, facing towards the door.

Him walked through the door. It was like everything I ever loved in my entire life, gone. Like the drip at dawn vanished by noon. Leaving the yellow wild flower without any words, leaving the flower knowing that it would never come back. Like the dandellion dies in winter, so did I that night...
