"Like a foolish dreamer, trying to build a highway to the sky All my hopes would come tumbling down, and I never knew just why Until today, when you pulled away the clouds that hung like curtains on my eyes Well I've been blind all these wasted years and I thought I was so wise But then you took me by surprise Like waking up from the longest dream, how real it seemed Until your love broke through I've been lost in a fantasy, that blinded me All my life I've been searching for that crazy missing part And with one touch, you just rolled away the stone that held my heart And now I see that the answer was as easy, as just asking you in
And I am so sure I could never doubt your gentle touch again It's like the power of the wind" (By Keith Green, song: your love broke through). What I wrote: A letter of warning,an urgency; escape before it's too late.

My best friend encouraged me to write this and I feel I have no other choice but to warn you. I write you this letter because I know the way out of the prison, even though I may not know the blueprints. They gave me pills to make me feel like I was insane and for a while there I almost believed them. I woke up in a cell with no recollection of how I got there and it was very dark in there and though death lurked around every corner, seeking a host body, I know now that I’m not crazy. I found a way out. They said that there was no way, that I was simply imagining the possibility. But I escaped death; I escaped the unfair sentence, the one that wasn’t even mine to serve. I know it sounds insane but they kidnapped me at birth and placed me in there; everything they taught me was a lie. Like when they said I was just a weak man, that I was to sit and wait until I died; I could make the most of it if I wanted to but eventually death would consume me. Perhaps that was the biggest lie: that the only way out was through death. The truth is, I won’t die. Not now. Not since I escaped.  I’ll never die. And no, I’m not a god, I’m just a man who was saved- a man who escape death. In fact, death ran from me.  You can escape also, my friend.  In this letter I’m going to give you the code.  I’ll show you the way.

See, they scan the mail and make sure nobody gets letters like these that’s why I slipped this one through the bars. So that it reaches you personally and hopefully it will speak to your heart.

Now, I’ll try and get to the point of this letter. The escape route. This may come as a surprise but you can’t escape through a tunnel, a hole, or some kind of back road. You can’t escape through a door or a gate. Not in the physical sense anyways. They key rests inside you. No, you didn’t swallow it. It’s always been there; since birth. The system doesn’t want you to know.  The system can torment you, lock you up and deceive you, but they can’t take that key away. It’s like a permanent mark inside of you; they could never remove it. They don’t expect anyone to find this out. I mean its sounds absurd: The way out rests inside the prisoner’s body? Who is going to think that?  That’s why when a prisoner starts to figure it out, they try to make them feel like their insane, but it’s the truth. That’s what I’m here to tell you. Nothing is as it seems.

See, I don’t know if you’ve heard. It’s just prison talk; some say it’s just a rumor. But there's a legend: Way back when the prison was built, there was this guy. He seemed just like all the other prisoners but in reality he was a hero he had powers beyond belief. He came to save the prisoners. How? By becoming one of them; disguising himself as just another man, just another person in the system. Only a few knew who he really was, those of which were his close friends and they tried to warn the other prisoners but of course the prisoners wouldn’t hear it. They thought they were insane. Even if they wanted to believe they couldn’t comprehend how a simple man would help them escape. What was his plan? How was he a hero?

Throughout his stay at the prison, the man showed his powers to the people. He wasn’t prideful. He didn’t say, “Look at me. Look at how special I am and all that I’m capable of!” No, not at all. With his powers, he healed the sick and taught the prisoners lessons about life and he opened their eyes. He was a humble man; a friend to all. And though he had yet to help them escape, he released them from the invisible handcuffs the system had them in. Handcuffs on their souls- their spirits.  All the while the guards mocked and laughed, “What a bunch of wackos.” They said. They would beat on that man- they punched and kicked him with pure anger and cruelty.  “You are just a man.” They would say.

As the days went on, the word of his sentence was spread across the prison. The officials decided the man was to be hung.

The guards hated him so much. Instead of simply hanging him, they nailed his hands to pieces of wood, the whipped him and beat him bloody.

His friends watched; crying. They knew he was innocent. He had come to the prison on purpose; to save them. None of the others understood how he would save them. Sure, he was a nice guy but how would he save them? He was hanging there- dead.

But you see, my friend, as that man took his last breath, a supernatural thing happened. A gateway was opened. A miracle; something unbelievable. Every man after that, who was placed in the prison, was born with a key inside of them.

He made it so they didn’t have to physically escape. He made it so they didn’t have to die.  He made it so they could find that key inside of them and they would be free. In a sense, each of their keys was a part of him. As each man learned of the mystery; after they found the key, they escaped. They repented of their wrongdoings and crimes. It was a wonderful thing and it still is. These days the truth is hidden, and the guards and even the prisoners mock it even more so. But his followers wrote down all that he did inside a book, they wrote down all the miracles and the words he had said. Through His supernatural powers, the words have stood the test of time.

Within those words, people can still read about that amazing man. Did you know that he told them not to be conformed by the system but to be transformed by the renewing of their mind? (Romans 12:2) He said whoever finds him, finds life. The people didn’t fully understand the meaning until after his death.

My friend, that legend was absolutely true. The man was nicknamed Jesus, “The Son of Man”. He came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. (Mark 10:45)

People can’t escape any other way but by him. And it’s all glory to that man. It’s funny, people will try to say ‘look here, there’s the way out” or “over there, there it is!” but you see the, the way out, is within you. (Luke 17:21)

So, I write to you today in hopes you will find that light inside of you; that key. Because that is how you escape; find Jesus, look inside, for he has been with you all along. The answer. Right there. This whole time.

Inside this world; Satan’s system, we’re merely dry bones, walking skeletons, devoid of purpose until we find Jesus. He fills us with light and meaning and awakens our spirit. Jesus died and came back to life so he’d be the savior of both the living and the dead.

A man named Ezekiel wrote of the dry bones. I’ll paraphrase what he wrote for you:

"The Valley of Dry Bones"

The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, “can these bones live?” I said, “Lord, only you know.”  Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, this is what the Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’ So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone.I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, and say to it, ‘This is what the Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’ So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.   They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them. Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I bring you back to life.I will put my Spirit in you and you will live.”

So, I hope you see my friend. The dry bones live! He gives life to the dead. All you have to do is look for Him.

Sincerely,

A former slave to the system

P.S. I was serious when I said my best friend told me to share the message. My best friend is Jesus and I know him personally. You should too. He lead me to this verse today: "The Servant of the lord" : Isaiah chapter 42:7 and 9. "I have called you to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison. Those who dwell in darkness inside the prison house.” I’ve come to save the others prisoners, and invite them to join the flock of the chosen. Is your name written in the book of life?
