In the blink of an eye he lost everything. He never thought she would leave him, and against all odds she did. They had been together for so long, he felt so at home with her, so relaxed, so at ease. And now everything was gone.

When they first met, she was on his mind all the time. She wouldn’t leave him alone and he couldn’t leave her alone. But what is love anyways, he thought.  Just some made up feeling that no one ever understands. Now she’s out with someone else and his heart breaks every time he sees her name. The posts on social media, the pictures, the happiness he once brought her being provided by another man. It is the worst feeling in the world. His heart was breaking into a million pieces. Where did he go wrong? What could he have done differently?

Oh wait, that’s right. He was selfish and unappreciative, didn’t know how to love a real woman, cheated twice, and couldn’t keep her happy all the time. They say if you love something let it go… but when he let her go, he lost himself, and she happened to find herself. Along with a better man, who could be more than he was…… What was he to do now… What could he do?

Nothing. He had to watch as his entire life crumbled to pieces before his eyes, watch her be happy with someone else, possibly start to fall in love with that someone else… He had to watch her leave his life… and he had to figure out where he could even go from here.
