Einstein stares at me from his perch on the wall

He asks me why I do not know it all?

I remind him that I am just a doll

And in this world of giants and men

I am far too small.

His black eyes upon his flat face pierce

I retort with a question so fierce.

Are you the judge or the genius;

Constricted by time or pompous?

He replies

“The only source of knowledge is experience”

I explain sadly dolls never leave their four walls here at college

He breaks out in a goofy smile and breathes

“Imagination is more important than knowledge”

I sigh in relief and write Imaginary Einstein is talking to me again.
