I thought you would break me.

In the end you only brought me to a bent knee.

I knew where I was going but you know just how to twist me.

That’s why I never let you know I live like a gypsy.

Never staying in one place all this to prevent my inevitable fall from grace.

Your tears stream down little lies falling from your face.

Salted wet stains on your cheeks just another mark of your external disgrace.

I thought you would break me but you only brought me to a bent knee.

Just when I thought I was gone you did what you do best and twist me.

Next time I won’t say goodbye ill just leave like my internal gypsy.

I won’t stay too long just long enough to not say so long.

Instead I’ll leave without a word.

Just because this I fear is the only way my voice can be heard.

I’m still me everyone’s favorite gypsy.
