I layed her down sick and I cleaned her up dead. Now I find ways to get her out of my head. Seems like the only way to do that is to find her alive again. Alive in my writing. Alive once more in my heartbeat as the words flow through my brain and everyone else find themselves muted except me and her.

Pressure to live. Pressure to die. Even pressure to bring her back. Don't know how to get out of bed but I still fight her resurrection. Seems ink must fill the flesh as sorrow rewrites these scars. It has been known that to give her life, I must take my own, but I set out to rewrite the physics to this smoked out world as I clear the air and lay my wrist down. It's my skin I press this pen into. It's her blood I'm looking for.
