As soon as the dark, storm clouds rolled in,

I ran inside, straight to my bedroom.

So, I could sit by the window,

And watch, it all unfold.

The sky, slowly, turned black as the night,

And I could hear roaring thunder, in the distance.

As the winds, kicked up in fury,

I watched all, the neighborhood kids run inside.

Pretty soon, it started to rain.

A few raindrops, gently tapped

Against, my window, I liked

To pretend, that the raindrops were racing.

Could it just rain, forever and ever,

I don’t ever want it to end.

I love watching, storm clouds, roll in,

And thunderstorms, sound just, like a lullaby, to me.

Wasn’t long, before it became a torrential downpour,

The rain fell so damn hard, that I couldn’t see very far.

The winds began, to whistle, so loudly.

While lightning, lit up my room,

As thunder roared across the lands.

The sound, of the raindrops, pounding

Against my window, was soothing me to sleep.

I could fall asleep, so easily right now,

Summer thunderstorms, are music, to my ears.

I love, the sound of beating raindrops, against my window.

I love, the whistle that the wind makes, as it blows, endlessly.

I love, the flashes of lightning, that light up my bedroom.

I love, the roar of the thunder, spreading across the landscape.

Could it just rain, forever and ever,

I don’t ever want it to end.

I love watching, storm clouds, roll in,

And thunderstorms, sound just, like a lullaby, to me.
