Under the starry skies,

For hours I will lay,

Just sit watching the clouds drift by,

Or stop to listen to the rain.

Forever I would stay here,

Away from all the rest.

Always stay and hide here,

As the days begin to flash.

So clever are those starry skies,

They whisper to each other high.

High above the constant flow,

Of that unpredictable world below.

Till the day you say good-bye,

The stars will continue to shine so high.

Until that day has come to pass,

I’ll be here, sitting in the grass.
