As the ship blasted into the air, I wondered if I would ever see Earth again. Would I ever breath again without needing an oxygen tank? Will I ever see another sunset, or smell the fresh flowers that had just bloomed in the spring? All of those questions raced through my mind as we raced through space. We had 2 or so hours before we touched base at Nebula 18 base, so being my curious 13 year old self, decided to wander around the ship, checking out all of the different sections and such. But at the very back of the ship is what really caught my eye. In some sort of foreign language, there was a sign with a red caution symbol. I activated Lunar Glass, and asked it to translate what the sign meant. When I had gotten the translation, I was very taken aback. Inscribed on the sign was, “Past this point is your doom.” Thoughts started swirling around my head. What could this mean? Was this just a joke to keep non-staff members out of the area? Then some very, very small text in the bottom left corner of the sign caught my Lunar Glass’ Auto-Translator, had MY name carved into it, and at the bottom of my name was a flow of blood, seeming to be fresh. The name just kept blinking on my Lunar Glass, and I couldn’t peel my eyes away from it. Mateo, it blinked. Mateo. I was confused, but almost in a trancelike peace of mind. I just couldn’t draw my eyes away from the sign. Then, almost unwillingly, my hand, without me even knowing it, pushed the door.
