I’ve come to greet the fog . . .

On this cold and final night.

I wander through the trees

. . . life fades beyond the wood.

I hear my name called . . .

The creatures whimper in fright.

I am a nightmare in the fog

. . . I would be a dream if I could.

The sky is restless in the night,

The ground stirs, trembling with might.

The floor it opens, cracks and breaks

Its maw swallowing what it chooses to take.

This wood will be nothing more than a pit

For demons and ghouls to lurk in it.
