The leaky tap drips...

She lies in the bathtub motionless, staring up at the ceiling  and trying to remember a reason to continue this pilgrimage called Life. She hears the banging at the door but pays no heed."It's too late for any of that", she thought. She remembers with a jolt why she was here and why she was suffering. "It was all because of him, the supposed faithful husband whom she had seen the other day caressing his secretary in his office reception" ,she thought. She let out a sigh and made a slight motion, creating a scarlet thread which curled from her already slit wrist into strands that dyed the water a deep crimson. After a while, the door broke open and people including paramedics, family members and concerned neighbours spilt into the room to find a motionless woman in a bath who had committed suicide. The man who had been one of the first to burst into the bathroom crumples to the red stained ground and sobbed while a woman who was dressed formally, hugged him in her bosom and comforted him. The paramedics begin to excuse people from the room while the people begin to make comments of "what a shame". Their footsteps leaving scarlet footprints on the carpet as the leaky tap drips once again
