I am untitled,

A work left to be completed

Yet when people flip through my pages

They think my ink is bleeding.

The truth is my words

Are sometimes too heavy to be said

And hard to understand

In a single head.

I am untitled,

A song left unsung

And though most do not know my lyrics

I always remain on the tongue.

My tune is quiet

You have to really listen to hear

About what the world has taught me to fear.

I am untitled,

A blank canvas to be covered

But often the colors discovered

Aren’t the ones used.

My black is too dark,

My white is too blinding,

And people refuse to see

The balance through time.

I am everything left empty,

A shell and nothing more,

But I hope one day I’ll find something

And that it’ll walk through my door.

I am willing to wait,

For years and years to come,

For I am untitled,

But sometimes the unknown

Is all we need to see.
