This poem is dedicated to Mike Stevens, always the very best of friends; and to Oleg Roschin who also recognised yesterday's posting of 'What Do You Do?' for what it really was.
Thanks, guys!!!

Apologies.

I want to say sorry

For causing you stress

It wasn't your fault

That my head was a mess.

I was swamped with bad feelings

It was all doom and gloom

I tried to resist it

But there just wasn't room.

No space for the positive

No space for the hope

My feelings were lost

When my brain could not cope.

But the blackness has faded

The colour is back

The pain in my head

Has now ceased its attack.

Should I remove it

My poem of pain?

Should it be causing me

Feelings of shame?

I have re-read it

At the time it was true

I'm sorry if this

Makes it painful for you.

But others are out there

Who feel this way too

And maybe together

These will help pull them through.

Those words were so honest

The pain that I shared

I'm not sure it's wise

But at least I have dared.

Sometimes it's essential

To let feelings flow

To give them release

'Cause without they won't go.

Today is a new day

The old Hully's back

I've got through the darkness

With my humour intact!
