When Death Walks The Streets.

Can you feel the stillness?

It just does not feel right

There is something so unnatural

About this very night.

And then you hear it starting

The wind is oh so strong

It wasn't on the forecast

But that is often wrong.

But this gale that is blowing

Is just coming up your street

The person that it's bringing

You just don't want to meet.

He's covered up from head to toe

In a giant jet black cloak

And if you look to carefully

You know that you will choke.

For this wind it is carrying

The Grim Reaper himself

And it's an assignation

That would be fatal to your health.

He has come for someone

That you surely know

There is nothing you can do

But wait for him to go.

You shut up all the windows

And you lock tight your door

You cower so low down

To your carpeted floor.

The very sudden silence

Says that he is right outside

You tremble and you shiver

Through this deadly terror tide.

Why doesn't he just move along?

His journey is so slow

You're not ready yet to die

And just want him to go.

Then here he is, he's passing

The wind follows behind

You are not his chosen one

This time he's being kind.

But it's a night for being cautious

Of the people that you meet

For some may be not what they seem

When death walks the streets.
