Why?

Why all the violence?

?Why all the hate?

Please - let us be happy

For difference we tolerate.

??Sounds.

She presses her hands over her ears

The sounds wound her fragile state

He doesn't mean it

She's sure he doesn't meant it

?The Dream.

The dream I can't recall

But I know how I felt

Who visited my slumber

?Of that I know not.

?Her.

She looks stale

She looks like she smells stale

Like cigarette smoke and damp

She doesn't speak I don't either

Him.

Him in the shop doorway

With a sleeping bag and dog

I'm uncomfortable

I don't know what to give him

I don't know

So I don't
