I am stone

Concrete

Staying put

Standing my ground

Being crashed into by waves

But I am not falling

I am not collapsing

I am strong

New

Using little might to stand

Just because I do not need it

I am stone

Concrete

Weathered slightly at the corners

Slightly rounded in parts

Softer

Slightly cracked

Waves are crashing

Harder than before

But still they are weak on my frame

It takes little effort to stand

But there is still some effort there

But I don’t mind

That is living

I am stone

Concrete

Cracked and eroded

Weathered and picked at

Pounded by waves

My back is breaking slightly

But I am still standing

I am still strong

But the strength is wearing away

I am stone

Concrete

Breaking

Collapsing under my own weight

The waves are taller

Stronger than I am

They pummel me

And pound me

And hit me

Harder than before

And I am hurting

Aching

Trying to stand

Every last bit of strength I have

Is being put into the effort of standing

I am dust

Dirt

Collapsed

Gone

Forever

Weak

Strength has left me

I am not me

I am not stone

I am not concrete

I am floating away

I am not there anymore

Someone please

Fix me
