Did anyone really understand quite what a rapid downslide the 'leave' vote would bring?

Poetic Injustice.

Someone's responsible

Someone's to blame

It's peoples lives

Not some pawns in a game.

Did you know what would happen?

Did you give it some thought?

How many experts

Made up their reports.

Now things are in chaos

The mess we're all in

Trying to halt this

Spiralling tail-spin.

And it's not just the UK

Or just the EU

Much of the world is

Effected by you.

It's all instability

Safety no more

The bottom has gone

From the financial floor.

The full consequence

We cannot understand

But any security's

Been removed from your hand.

There's imports and exports

You know not the cost

But it's going to be felt

In the jobs that are lost.

Big business will go

Where the money is best

With whole infrastructures

You surely have messed.

The people worst hit

Are always the poor

They are already struggling

And can't take much more.

Now all that we need

Is a President Trump

Then deep in recession

The whole world will slump.

Will anyone be liable,

Found guilty as charged

I'm pointing my finger

At Nigel Farage.

But much as I hate him

He's not solely to blame

There are so many people

That I could name.

If you ask someone else

They will name but another

But we're all left hoping

That things will recover.
