The first drop of rain falls, I see it,my memory calls-

Tears roll down my cheek. Yes, I know. I regret being weak.

I too had fallen; fallen for a girl. Her charming face, shining face, long curls…

I saw her. She was a creature beyond the world. An angel- I would call; O God, I wish my prayers are heard.

One fine day, bent to my knees, I vowed my love to her. She walked away; In deadly silence, I heard only the birds’ chirr.

I stayed there; tears rolled down my cheek. Yes, I know. I regret being weak.

The day became dull; the raindrops began to fall. Thank you ,God. They gave my tears a brief-shawl.

But O God, when the raindrops fell, you ,all of a sudden, wiped them apart. And when I did, I broke; still, you pushed me to live with no heart.
