I remember the sinking fear as the horrible truth brought on the tears.

I remember lying in bed all night, broken and sobbing until daylight.

I remember your voice and every word spoken; it's all tarnished now, every promise broken.

If I could wake up with amnesia I wouldn't know your name. I'd never know you used me for your twisted little game.

Your smile wouldn't cause these bitter butterflies, and I wouldn't see your face when I close my eyes.

We were everything to me; so how are you okay? How did  every "I love you" completely fade away?

Didn't you feel anything for me? Anything at all? Three years together and I was the only one to fall?

I'm tired of the memories, my heart just isn't that strong to survive the constant replay of how everything went wrong.

I need a double dose of anesthesia, maybe this time I'll wake up with amnesia.
