Honey dew dripped silently from its lips,

A gaping maw of depression yawned and I witnessed sins beneath its rotting teeth.
As its mouth was ajar it breathed a silent remedy that banged against my skull like the booming crescendo of thunder.
It spoke to me in tongues that were sugar laced with poison,
As its promises seeped into my psyche.
As I gazed into ever lasting darkness I watched as those same sins sunk into my flesh and destroyed a world I once knew as home,
Nothing was real here,
And the numbing sensation of a thousand words burrowed themselves into the soft meat of my spine,
Heralding doom,
And all the things I've come to know as divine.
