A A A

I see them in pictures,

Memories of times gone past,

Just a jumble of different faces,

All of which are nameless.

The memories bring tears,

Which stain my cheeks,

My chin starts to tremble,

My bones grow weak.

The sadness suffocates me,

The pain is never ending,

Why must this happen?

What went wrong?

I look in the world,

And see nameless faces,

But those faces do have names,

Just ones that can't be known.

The road crumbles as I step,

I no longer walk the walk,

Or even step the step,

I stumble along lost.

Sometimes I wish I was nameless,

Just a shadow in someone's vision,

But everything happens for a reason,

Or so I've been told.

The pain hurts,

The depression eats away,

I no longer have a wall,

To keep it at bay.

We step down on blood soaked soil,

With dark black clouds spilling oil,

I feel as if I'm the spark,

That'll send everything in a downward spiral.

Rarely does the sun ever shine,

Or the rain go away,

For now I'm trapped in my mind,

A nameless face, whose lost his way.
