You told me it wouldn't hurt,

You told me it was for the better,

When you left I knew you were wrong.

My heart was torn in two,

My love had been ripped away,

I couldn't survive knowing you were with her.

Her smile was so beautiful,

Her laugh echoed through the air,

I knew when she showed up it was over.

You tried to deny the truth I could see,

You tried to push away what you wanted,

You soon gave into her temptations.

I thought we were forever,

I thought we were real,

You told me you could NEVER love another,

You told me I was your one and only.

Everything you told me was a lie,

Our promise, our vows, our rings,

I see none of it was true.

You destroyed me when you met her,

I should be angry, I should be furious,

But I am happy only one of us was hurt.

I am happy you stopped lying,

I hope you never lie to her,

Because that was all you did to me.
