There once was a young lad, for he was not the brightest, strongest, or bravest.. But he had light in his heart. For this Lad had a mind unlike any other before. This boy had a few friends, and was happy, alas, the light in his heart grew. Every day, he would care for his friends, and be with them. It lasted for a while, until one tragic night, he and one of his best friends started bickering.. The light in his heart diminished more and more, to each thing said. He then strides into the parlor, grabs a bottle of rum, and snatches the car keys from the counter. For what was this Lad doing..? A soon empty bottle of rum in hand, and clouded thoughts, he inserts the keys into the ignition of his 67' Mustang, and starts driving.. To where you may wonder. This Lad, clouded mind and all, drives to the very cliff side, steps out of his car, keys still in ignition, and walks to the edge of the cliff, and sits down, legs dangling off the edge.. He then checks his phone to read all the old messages.. Look at all the fun pictures, and memories he had with his friends.. For this Lad no longer had a heart full of light.. No. For his heart, was empty. There is a beautiful night sky, filled with hundreds of stars, overlooking a Full Moon over the horizon of the ocean. The sweet silence of nothing but the wind, and the crashing waves below. The crisp smell of ocean air fills his nose. The young Lad smiles, and whispers something.. " Thank you, everyone. " and casts himself over the edge.. Tears streaming down his cheeks, and the ocean wind whipping his face.. Flashbacks of all the good times with his friends soon fill his mind.. So much light and happiness is present. Then, the memories slowly fade away, one by one.. And then, there was darkness.
