Loneliness consumes the mind like a parasitic disease.
One that  slowly eats away the flesh of our body
and thus causing us to lose all consciousness of what life was once like.
It makes us question our very being
Our thoughts
Our present, past and future
For it feels like nothing can take this emptiness I feel inside
And so I question myself about my purpose
My reasons for life
My air that I breathe
The steps that I take and the secrets that I keep
Would I soon let them go
Or would I finally find my purpose, my reason, my hope
Is it too late for the lonely man?
Is it too late for me?
Should I turn back or should I continue down my lonely road?
For it seems so lonely, heavy and dark
but here I am another soul in  solitude waiting for the end….
