My First Movie

I can say that I’m a moviegoer. I like seeing movies, especially seeing them at the cinema. It’s much more excited than watching them at home.

However, I used to be scared of cinema when I went there for the first time. I amuse myself every time I think of it. I can remember when my parents said they were going to take me to the cinema, I was very confused. I did not know what cinema was. So I imagined it was some kind of dreadful place. I don’t know why I thought that. I even tried to oppose, but my parents took me there anyway.

The darkness. It was the first thing that met my eyes when I reached the cinema. The cool air made everything look more terrifying. I held my father’s hand tightly as I was walked to the seat. I also closed my eyes so that I would not see horrible things. My father told me to open my eyes but I did not believe him. I expected that I would have seen the ghost if I had opened my eyes. A few minutes later, I heard a roar. It was so loud that I almost screamed.

That sound was coming from everywhere. My heart started beating quickly. I did not know what I should have done in this situation. I really wanted to escape this completely dreadful place.

I held my parents’ hand all the time and kept closing my eyes. I wanted to know when this terrible time would be finished. So I opened my eyes slowly, and what I saw surprised me. I did not see the ghost, but a beautiful creature on the screen. It was a lovely white polar bear. So I did not close my eyes anymore. I forgot all the darkness, the cool air and the roar. I just saw the movie and realized that it was not terrible like I had originally thought.

Every time when looking back to the past, I can't stop thinking that childhood had such a lot of funny stories which made me laugh and feel happy.
