Chapter 25

"Here's the deal."

Dom stood in front of Delilah, Katherine and Juliet. They were sitting on the couch staring up at him, Kerim and Daniel.

"You can go to this spa weekend. I paid to have the place completely empty of any other guests. There will only be employees with extensive background checks. They will have a completely clean record. You will have two guards with you at all moments and guards covering the entrances and exits."

"I have a question." Juliet calmly interrupted.

"Yes.."

"Will they be with us when we change?"

"As long as you all stay together there should be no problem with them waiting for you outside."

"We agree with your terms." Delilah smiled gleefully. Katherine and Juliet nodded in agreement.

"Ethan will be coming with Avery tomorrow. You girls will be escorted afterwards to the spa. Kerim and I will be staying in a hotel nearby."

"I will be too of course and Ethan." Daniel spoke up.

"It doesn't matter as long as we relax and have fun. This is something we definitely need. There's only two months left before the wedding." Delilah grinned.

Katherine smiled. Only two months and then she was getting married. Nerves filled her stomach.

"Are you okay?" Dom asked her when he saw her face.

"Yes, just looking forward to the wedding."

"It's going to be okay."

"I know. Don't listen to me." She gave him a reassuring smile.

"If we're done here it's time for my pregnancy yoga." Delilah stood off the couch. Daniel was instantly at her side. "I can move along on my own. Wait until I really can't move."

"What is this pregnancy yoga you're talking about?" Juliet asked her.

"She doesn't really do anything other than lay on her back on the floor and listen to calming music." Daniel explained chuckling.

Delilah wacked him on the arm. "There's a video I watch with other mothers doing yoga. Just because I can't do it doesn't mean I'm not doing it mentally."

"I think I want to take a walk." Katherine told them as the others headed upstairs.

"I'll go with you." Dom stayed with her.

He took her hand and they walked outside. The sun was shining. Precious came out behind them as soon as she heard the back door.

She ran in front of them and towards the garden.

He stayed silent and waited for her to talk.

She closed her eyes and smelled in the fragance of flowers.

"I feel like time is flying by as our wedding gets closer."

"It does seem that way. Is that what's bothering you?"

"Just nervous, it's all."

He swallowed. "If you don't want to get married..."

"No, it's nothing like that." She opened her eyes and turned to him, taking his other hand. "It's nerves of our future. We're building something and only time will tell if it will be strong enough."

He smiled down at her. "I understand and I feel the same way."

She was actually surprised. "You do?"

"Of course. I think of you off at college where there's frat boys. Handsome, young frat boys." He sighed. "You could have any other guy."

"Like you could have any sophisticated older woman with a career and ready to have babies." She giggled.

"Just like that but you're the only one I could ever love. I've lived the life of dating and getting to know those type of women. Trust me, neither was the one."

"Trust me when I say that I could never fall for an idiotic frat boy. Guys my age just never made it to my want list. I've dated and they were a load of crap. You're the only one that really caught me and stole my heart." She turned red at the memories.

"Why are you blushing?"

"I'm remembering. I once hid under a desk because I didn't want you to see me. I disliked you so much." She couldn't hold in her laughter.

"Seriously?"

"Yes." She wiped her eyes as a couple of tears came out of them. "To think that I'm here standing with you and about to get married...well it's unbelievable. If someone had told me that back then I'd call them liars."

"It is hard to believe for you but not to me. I pictured myself falling for a wonderful woman and I have." He lifted his hands and cupped her face. "You are everything to me."

"As you are my everything."

"Then will you stop being nervous?"

"I don't think so. When I finally say 'I do' will I stop being nervous."

"Alright." He kissed her softly. "Do you want to go back inside or do you want to walk in the garden?"

She hooked her arm with his. "Let's take a walk by ourselves. I've been surrounded by everyone that you and I haven't had much alone time other than the bedroom."

"Are you complaining?"

"No, I enjoy our alone time in the bedroom but I do want us to do something together."

"Let's do it then."

"I can see why Daniel says you just lay there." Juliet teased Delilah.

"I can't bend with the belly in the way."

"Sure."

"I would say that I would get you back whenever you got pregnant but that won't be happening."

"Ha."

"What is up with you?"

"What do you mean?"

Delilah turned on her side to look at Juliet more clearly. "You've been more than amorous with Kerim, in front of us. You're laughing and joking. Something has changed in you."

"I feel like I've always felt." Juliet looked away and concentrated on the pillow she had in her hands.

In all honesty she had been considering her future. She could now say with a certainty that she regretted saying she didn't want to get married.

Whenever she woke up Kerim and seeing him light up when she entered the room...well it had all caught up with her.

She loved him, even more than before. It didn't make sense to her but maybe it had to do with the fact that anything could happen at any given moment.

She would look down at her hand and see it devoid of a ring. A ring that represented the love that the other person felt for you. That you would always be their one.

Most of the time people got divorced. She knew she wouldn't be one of them.

Kerim and her had gone through some things normal couples didn't go through. It had to mean that they were perfect for each other and she wanted the world to know that.

Maybe not the whole world of course but to have her friends and family present when she said the vows that would unite them together forever.

Problem was that he had said he would never propose again. She had really screwed that one up.

"Earth to Juliet." Delilah called to her.

"Sorry, I spaced out."

"I saw. What were you thinking about?"

"Our spa weekend. I think I do need the relaxation that you mentioned before."

"We all need it. I'm so damn tense. Tomorrow will come soon enough though."

"Are you going to get the massage?"

"I don't know. I need someone who can give a pregnant woman a massage. If not then I'll skip that part."

"What do you think the guys are going to do?"

"I have no idea. Guess they'll stick to the room and watch sports." Delilah sighed.

"Men are easier to entertain and relax."

"True."

"Are you going to stay on the floor or are you going to join me for a snack?"

"I will join you if you help me up."

Juliet stood and helped her get to her feet.

"Thank you. Now what are we having for a snack and don't tell me I got up for a few carrot sticks."

"I think Kerim brought some chocolate muffins."

"They better be triple chocolate muffins."

"God you are threatening when you're in this mood." Juliet chuckled.

"I know, it's the hungry me."

They went to the kitchen and found Kerim making hot chocolate.

"Will you look at that. Mr. Catches Everything on Fire is actually making something on the stove." Delilah joked. She headed straight for the muffins.

"This is something I have learned to master." Kerim smiled proudly. "Instant hot chocolate."

"You are going to die when Avery makes us her delicious hot chocolate. It's heavenly." She gushed before biting into her muffin.

"It is really good." Juliet agreed.

"I will be looking forward to it." He turned off the stove and grabbed a few mugs. He served the chocolate and handed them out.

Juliet took a sip. "It's not bad. It just needs a few small marshmallows."

"I prefer mine bare but thank you for not saying it was horrible." He leaned down and kissed her on the lips.

"I'm going to leave you guys alone. Once one of us starts kissing our special other we can't stop." Delilah piled another muffin in her hands and left them alone.

"Do you want to finish this in the bedroom?" He quirked up the corner of his mouth.

"In a bit. What do you think of Dom and Katherine's wedding?"

He took a drink. "What do I think of what?"

"Like decorations and planning all of it. Did you love it?"

"I did. It was distracting." He looked away.

"Distracting from what?"

"Life I guess."

She looked down at her hot chocolate.

It was at the tip of her tongue to tell him that she had changed her mind. Instead she pushed it to the back of her mind.

"Let's go upstairs like you suggested."

He smirked and finished his chocolate. "Come on."
