Chapter 38

Katherine's head was pounding and she was waking up. Everything felt foggy and blurred.

She had been in the room and then Frederick had shown up. He had shoved something on her nose before she could even try to fight him.

That was when everything went black.

She moaned and moved. She looked around and could see that she was in the back seat of a car.

It slowed down then stopped. The driver's door opened then closed. She tried to sit up but almost fell back when the back door was opened.

"You're awake, good. It will be more fun this way." Frederick hauled her up over his shoulder like she was a sack of potatoes.

The rush of blood to her head made her head hurt even more. Her mouth felt dry.

He took her into a building and dumped her on a squeaky old bed. She bounced on it and really opened her eyes.

It looked like some kind of abandoned house or rather tiny house.

He came on top of her and tried to kiss her. The shock of that sprung her to action. She pushed him and tried to punch him.

He backhanded her, snapping her neck to the side.

"You fucking asshole!" She spit out the taste of blood.

He grabbed her arms and shook her hard. "You will be mine completely Katherine. I swear if I have to beat you until you enjoy having me inside you I will."

"I will never enjoy having your tiny pencil dick in me. I'd rather be beaten to death." She hissed.

He slapped her again.

She bit her lip and refused to give into the pain.

"Don't think I won't rape you like I did with Avery." He sneered. "Although she wasn't as much fun as you're going to be. I like a spirited woman fighting her way in my bed."

"More like out of it. How many girls have you raped, you sick son of a bitch?"

"Too many to count." He smirked. "But you're going to be my last. I'm planning on keeping you. There was always something about you. I never could explain it." He grabbed her breast through the robe.

She felt sick at his touch and squirmed. "You're not going to get away with this. Dominik is going to kill you!"

"You're husband?" Frederick laughed. "I don't know how. He hasn't been able to find me in months. What is a single night going to change?"

"You have me now and he will stop at nothing."

He rolled his eyes and pulled her arms forward. He took a zip tie from his pocket and tied them together. He pulled them up harshly and tied them to the top end of the bed.

She tried pulling at them but it hurt too much. She tried kicking and that didn't work. He tied her feet also.

"There, you can't do anything anymore."

"I can still scream."

"No one is going to hear you."

Frederick walked away and grabbed a beer from the fridge.

"Why are you doing this?"

"Because your friends ruined my life." He glared at her. "Including that brother of your husband's. The Moreaus have done enough to me."

"You did it all to yourself. You are sick. You have raped girls and you raped Avery. How the hell did you think you were going to get away with that?"

"I have always gotten away with everything. I was a football star, girls were lucky to date me. Avery and you were the only ones to hate me."

"You bullied her."

"I did because I couldn't have her. Then Ethan had to go and date her. He wasn't more man than me and I wanted her. She had a nice body, I had to make her mine." He chuckled. "God, I still remember being buried deep in her, fucking her as she lay there without knowing what was happening."

Katherine thought she was going to throw up.

"Then, what's that guy's name? Oh yes, I think it's Kerim, weirdo beat the shit out of all of us. Making them squeal like little pigs and name me the bad guy. I knew the only way to hurt someone is to hurt someone close. Now at the time I didn't know he was dating Avery's cousin so I thought of his brother. I remembered you were going out with him. What better than to take his precious little love."

He grinned at her.

"It was going perfect. I knew you both loved each other and you would end up getting married someday. It was only a matter of time. The announcement of your engagement was a great way for me to find out. That's when I started sending you the cards, putting you on edge. Since you were ignoring them I had to go beyond. I hacked into his system and gave you a scare. I wasn't trying to kill you. I wanted Dom to at least try to keep you safe."

"He did. He tried."

"Of course he tried but only after I made your car explode into a million pieces." He laughed. "It was a game my dear Katherine." He snorted. "God, such a corny fellow. Anyway I knew to keep my distance. The guards were going to get on your nerves."

He sighed happily.

"Oh there's somethine else you should know. I kept watch over you in the house. I can say with all truth that I was messing with Juliet and Kerim. I was doing it just to have a little more fun while you guys thought you were safe."

She frowned. "What are you talking about?"

"I may have let in a little airborne type of chemical into their room at night." He clicked his tongue. "I'm not going to tell you my secret but it was fun watching Juliet be emotional and act all out of sorts. Hot then cold. She was always the serious one. Then Kerim of course, he wasn't crying or anything but I guess it sort of pushed his psychopathic needs. I had no idea." He laughed evily. "I honestly thought he would kill her when he was choking her. I wanted that to happen but sadly it didn't. He came out of whatever that was. That was a weird day."

"She wasn't herself, neither was he. They thought it was the sessions."

"Oh yes, I tuned on that right before you gave your speech of how you didn't want me to mess with your lives. You wanted to ignore me since I hadn't tried anything. I knew Dom would listen to you, he always did. Then came the day of your wedding with no guards. Ah, I just loved that. I got into the hotel without anyone worrying. I didn't even have to look over my shoulder. It was perfect."

"You are demented."

"I know and that makes me very happy. Thanks for the compliment. I think I've wasted enough time explaining everything I did. I would like to fuck you now." He stood up.

"No more stalling Katherine. I told you everything."

"No, not everything. What about Daniel and Delilah? You didn't say anything about messing with them."

"There's no reason to. Daniel is an idiot and will probably ruin his own marriage. Add to the fact that they're having twins and it's a complete disaster. No marriage can withstand that."

"You really thought everything through."

"Sure. As I was saying..." He continued over to her.

There was a crunch of tires outside. He frowned and went over to the window.

"Fucking shit." He quickly went to the table and grabbed a gun he had laying there.

"What are you doing?"

"Looks like your husband did come for you. How the hell he found us I don't know or care. He is not taking you away from me."

He put the gun in his pants and took out a pocket knife to cut off the zip ties from her feet and the one that was holding her to the bed.

He picked her up harshly. She unsteadily kept on her feet as he pulled her towards the back door.

"What the hell are you planning? Dominik is going to kill you once we get outside."

"Not if I use you as a shield."

He pushed her out to the darkness. Keeping his arm around her waist he kept moving her as he waved the gun around.

A shot hit the ground in front of them, stopping him from making any progress.

Katherine gave out a shriek.

"Shut it." He hissed in her ear. "Now keep moving."

"I can't. I don't want to be shot. I don't think it's Dominik."

He pushed her forward and another shot hit a couple of feet.

"Stop right there." Juliet's voice rang out.

"I don't think so." He moved to see her.

"I'll shoot again."

"You won't shoot us if Katherine could get hit."

"I don't think she'd mind losing a toe as long as we stopped you from taking her." Juliet smirked.

"I would mind very much." Katherine told her annoyed.

"Don't get anywhere near or I shoot her." Frederick moved again when he noticed Kerim, taking her with him.

Kerim raised his hands in surrender.

"Drop the gun and I want to see Dominik Moreau. I have a very shifty index finger. I might shoot her in accident if I'm surprised."

Dominik came out of the back doorway. He had already gone through the house. He kept his eyes steady on Frederick.

"Good." Frederick loosened his arm around Katherine's waist.

She in all honesty was tired of this shit. His gun was pointed at her arm. If he shot her by accident she wouldn't die.

She snapped her head back making contact with his face. He took a step back giving her the opportunity to swing her elbow back and hit him in the gut. Since her hands were still tied together she couldn't do anything with them.

Turning around she rammed into him when he bent over from the hit in his stomach. He dropped the gun and groaned.

She got a few scrapes but she didn't care. Putting the cherry on top she raised her hands together, closing them around each other for more momentum and hit him hard on his nether region.

He cried out in pain. Even Juliet cringed at the force in which Katherine had hit him.

Dom picked up Katherine from the ground and into his arms.

Kerim picked up Frederick's gun and him. Pulling his arms behind his back Kerim pushed him towards the house.

"Did he hurt you?" Dom stood back to look at her.

"Just slapped me around a bit but that was it. I'm so happy you got here on time." She tried to hug him but couldn't with her hands tied together.

He took out a knife from his pocket and released them. She flung her arms around his neck as he held her close again.

"I don't get any thanks?" Juliet chuckled lightly. She was glad that this had turned out okay.

"You do." Katherine let go of Dom. "Were you really going to shoot one of my toes?"

"Of course not. I don't think Dom would appreciate me very much for hurting you. Frederick didn't know that of course." She shrugged.

"Thanks so much. Oh my god, he is like beyond psycho. You guys don't compare to him or maybe Kerim does but still. The things he told me." Katherine sighed. "I'm just glad this is over."

"Not yet." Dom looked down at her. "I'm finishing this though."

"Sorry I missed everything." Daniel came from around the house. "Delilah wasn't feeling well from all the anxiety. I told her to go to Avery and tell her what happened. I guess I should call her again to tell her that this is taken care of."

Juliet nodded. "You should. We don't want the babies coming earlier than they have to."

Kerim came back out. "I readied him for you and tied him to a chair."

Dom gave him a nod. "Take Katherine back to the house. Juliet too. You can come back for me after you've dropped them off."

"I'll stay here and wait with him." Daniel spoke up.

"What are you going to do?" Katherine looked up at Dom.

"Don't worry about it." He kissed her gently on the lips. Her face hurt but she didn't complain. "Now go with Kerim and Juliet." He walked inside the house followed by Daniel.

Juliet put her arm around her and steered her away.

"Do you know what he's going to do?" Katherine whispered.

"I have no idea."

Kerim followed behind the girls. They went straight to the truck.

As they were getting in Frederick started shrieking. The sound was horrid and wouldn't stop.

Daniel came out of the front door and dry heaved before stopping. He still stayed bent over and raised his head.

"I'm going to wait out here instead."

Katherine could only wonder what Frederick's fate was going to be.
