Past, Present, Future.

With every ticking of the clock
The present becomes the past,
The future becomes the present,
Time is changing fast.
The things I'd thought I'd get to do,
So many just not done
With time that seems to just fly by
It's hard to do just one.
'Your future should be planned,' I'm told,
'How else will you know what to do?'
But it seems to me you live your life
And the future comes to you.
Plans that fail, they make you sad,
Better they'd never been made,
Or despondency will visit you,
A thing you can't evade.
So if the future worries you
Just think about the present,
And today will soon be in the past
If it's being too unpleasant.
