Life is hard, more often than not, but every so often some good shows up to remind us it isn't so bad. It is the small things, the glimpses of beauty, that make living life worth it. Even if they only come around once in a blue moon.

Blue Moon

So soon

We forget the wonders and smiles in our lives.

So soon

We give in to the pain of deep cut metaphorical knives.

Too often

We lose out on joy because we hide in the sad.

Too often

We don't remember to look up at, at what is to be had.

Look up,

Dear soul don't forget there is always a chance.

Look up,

And there may be time for a last dance.

We forget too often when a good day is through,

And we lose that joy far too soon.

Look up, and make a wish, and it may come true

Once in a Blue Moon.

It may just come true.

Maybe just once, maybe soon.

Hang on to that beauty, and make a wish you.

And wait... for once in a blue moon.
