A magnificent lot

tearing of one's soul

magicians of the mind

Inspiration when original seem like words from god

Thieves make it lesser

fearing change along with competition

they aren't better

Hemingway the brilliant devil

taught truth the toughest thing to top

while delving to depths that sink many ships

Dickenson a stray cat died alone

full of words of power a master in chains

confined mostly to her room

Plat a symbol of her time

her student Sexton died the same

face down in a gas stove

all over love

Kafka lived an odd real horror

driest of fire cannot make that reality more real

Most great writers suffered

even in death
