It's 5 am,my alarms blaring I fell asleep, hope you aren't mad. Groping for my phone. Glaring Against the screen. No texts, kind of sad But I guess it's fine. Time to lace My body with clothes and paint my face

Starting with foundation to hide my frown Concealing my doubts in the smooth sweeps Up, down, left, right. Until I'm the perfect brown The mocha girl that only exists when I sleep Seen by your open eyes and my closed ones.

Shade around my eye, mastering the cat eye Drawing away from the bags you unknowingly cause Fading and erasing the breads from my cry The cry that could be heard if you would just pause

It's 6:15. Time to walk through the jungle To prepare for to prepare for the battle hoping not to tango With the inconsistencies and fumble

My cargo is precious unless you say differently I'll know for sure if and when u acknowledge me

Walking through the doors, back to square one.
