Now

We do not want it

We shove it away

We long for tomorrow

Or yesterday

 

We long for Christmas

We long for June

When you stay up till midnight

And wake up at noon

 

We envy the days of our childhood

When work we had none

We mourn for the dead

With whom we've had so much fun

 

But we never stop

To think about how

We ignore what really matters -

Now
