To slip away

 One summer morning

To just disappear

Without warning

To find a place

Where tides are near

Where the surf and gulls

Are all you hear.

A simple place

Near an active shore

Is the sort of place

That I'm looking for

Were the smells of the sea

Will fill my soul

And I am refreshed in ways

Some seamen know.

I hear children's laughter

As they play in the sand

And see loved-ones walking

Hand in hand.

It is a place of beginnings

And I have circled around

To a cycle that's ended

As another is found.
