Satan sneaks in clandestine:

 a thief in the night

or an angel of light, whose light pervades the

room like Christ’s, only falsely.

The way into a million paths split

Truth tacitly twisted into untruth

Life documented and caged

Satan sneaks in disguised:

lines all memorized

and poised to play the protagonist,

hungry for your ear and your heart.

Goodness gone in pursuit of greatness

Light darkened into glitz and glamour

Love hardened into pretence

Yet Christ enters in truth:

light from light,

true God from true God, whose eternal light

reflects off Satan’s ancient mirror.
