If I could wish upon a shooting star, I'd wish to be able to speak to her, one last time.

I woke up at 3 am just to see the meteor shower,

Falling from the sky at thousands of miles an hour.

Under the bright light of the full moon,

I’ll fall asleep and wake up at high noon.

I drove out, way out, to the countryside

To get away from all of the city lights.

I’ll lie in the grass, with my eyes wide

With wonder, cause I may not see this twice.

They always say to make a wish,

As a shooting star flies by you.

I hope a star hits my neighbors satellite dish,

So they can feel as shitty as I do.

I’ve got so many wishes, I don’t know what to pick,

I don’t actually believe that it would come true.

Although, I really want my head to not be sick,

Anymore, I don’t want to keep feeling blue.

I’m all alone tonight, watching the night sky,

Fill up with shooting stars, it’s an amazing sight.

I wish I could ride on a shooting star, way up high

In the sky, it’d feel amazing to be at that height.

This would feel so much better, if you were here,

With me, I miss you so much, why’d you have to go?

I never could feel lonely when you were near,

You’ve been gone so long, but I’m in love, you know.

Maybe that’s what I’ll wish for,

Because it’s the thing I want the most.

Please God, if you can hear me, my heart is so sore,

Just bring her back to me, before I overdose.

I woke up at 3 am just to see the meteor shower,

Falling from the sky at thousands of miles an hour.

Under the bright light of the full moon,

I’ll fall asleep and wake up at high noon.
