You are my little flower,

You started as a little seed in my belly,

I watched as you grew bigger everyday,

I welcomed you with open arms,

I knew it would be hard to let go

I was there for your first steps when your adventure began,

I heard the first words you spoke that I would never forget,

I remember your first good-bye when you started school,

I saw your first painting that was special for me,

The first steps were hard enough,

I didn't think I would be able to handle the later firsts,

I watched you leave on your first date,

I peaked out the window at your first kiss,

I heard your first "I love you",

I gasped at your first prom,

I cried at your graduation,

These were almost unbearable,

but still the steps got harder,

I couldn't handle your first ring,

I collapsed at your wedding,

I watched your father walk down the aisle,

My little flower bloomed faster then I thought,

Your petals shone brighter then ever,

Everything is harder when you have a flower,

This is why I am writing to my pretty blossom,

As I learn your flowers are on there way,

Everything is exaggerated with a flower,

The sadness in unbearable,

The anger is intolerable,

But the happiness is over whelming,

And the joy can never compare to your flower
