The dandelion king;

An odd man who collected flowers and posies.

The nuke went off;

Though he warned them,

They were consumed by their sickness.

Ashes, Ashes, they all fell down.

The dandelion king collected flowers in a ring.

“He’s an odd man,” they said,

“He doesn’t know much of anything.”

A funny gardener;

He offered to take his neighbors weeds.

Dandelion necklace,

Posies in his pocket.

People claimed he lost it.

He held up signs: “Disaster awaits.”

But one day,

When it was about time,

That mute-

That dandelion mime

 Hid safely underground

And quietly sang to himself:

"Ashes, ashes, we all fall down."

He took the last of the posies;

The ones in his pocket,

Consumed by the beauty,

He threw them in the air.

Inside the vault, he waited;

For winter to take its course,

But winter never left-

He was forced to find another source;

He entered the spaceship feeling completely alone.

Maybe things would be better
