What would you do if you saw a small poor dog on a street?
Do you really think it was a small poor dog?

"When you see a creature from hell, it means you've done something
really bad. And if it's the first time you see the creature, then that's the warning."

A Little Dog

"When you see a creature from hell, it means you've done something really bad. And if it's the first time you see the creature, then that's just the warning." I heard someone say that a long time ago, but who would believe that.

At least until I saw it with my own eyes...

It was a late Saturday night when I was strolling along the silent street and heard a wailing sound coming from somewhere. The sound completely changed the atmosphere into something fearful. So I walked faster hoping to pass the street as soon as possible.

Suddenly, something obstructed my way. I stopped in panic, but when I looked at it clearly, I found that it was just a small pitiful dog. It looked weak and bony. The wailing sound must have come from the dog.

"Hi, little boy" I said, bending down to pet it, but then it ran away.

"Where are you going?" I followed the dog which ran into an alley, and then disappeared from my sight.

"Hey, there you are." I found it again in the deepest of alley.

"Don't be afraid of me." I tried to pet it again, but when I looked into its blank eyes, I felt a coldness run up my spine. It made me unintendedly step backward.

Unexpectedly, the body of that small poor dog started twisting. At first, I thought something was wrong with my vision, but then I realized that it was real. The dog’s body was growing! Its fur started falling while its body was extending. It was not bony any more. I could see the muscles flex underneath its skin. I also saw two lumps growing beside its head. The lumps grew to the same size of the head and changed to the shape of eyes, nose, ears and mouth. Everything was happening very fast. Now, I was standing in front of a three-headed dog which was about 10 feet tall! The wailing sound changed to a roar, coming from its mouth, there was the stench of blood. I saw its razor-sharp teeth that were sharp enough to tear me to pieces. Drool dripped from its mouth onto the ground, which showed me how bloodthirsty it was. The three pairs of red-blood- shot eyes were looking at me as if I was going to be its next meal.

I had already known that the creature was Cerberus, the dog from hell! I turned back expecting to see the same way I had just walked in, but saw only endless darkness and flames of fire blazing around me and the beast. The smell of burning made me choke. I felt like I was going to boil. Sweat streamed down my face. My heart raced. Also, my legs shuddered and rooted me to the ground. I could not move. Then the three-headed dog leapt towards me, I thought I was going to die. I closed my eyes and waited. A moment later and nothing had happened. I felt neither hurt nor the movement of the beast.

I opened my eyes again and looked at the pleading eyes staring at me. Wagging its tail, the dog gave a slight wail and hung its tongue out of its mouth. I looked around and found myself in the same alley. Everything was normal as if nothing had happened, but I knew it was not my hallucination.

It was a warning.
