One day I woke up early,

And sat beneath the sky,

And in that briefest moment, I fest my soul has died.

I felt it leave my body,

It left an empty space,

Darkness and shadow glooming over my face.

Now I take coffee to stay alive,

And alcohol to stay numb,

What more could I want?

From a life that ne'er begun.

Only comfort in it,

The fact that it shall end,

Apathy at my side,

And death holding my hand.

Oh sweet mother, oh skies above,

When shall this torment end.

Oh dear father, oh earth below,

Who my wounds shall mend?
