A road descends in sunset
Golden trails of past
Eyes enlightened homeward
Childhood dreams that last

Return to where we came from
Where people know your name
Despite the leave of absence
You’re brighter than a flame

The world around you changes
We cannot see beyond the skies
The transforming horizon
Flashes before our eyes

Forever the world is spinning
We grow older every day
Slowing down in progress
Wiser in every way

Footsteps start to vanish
Songs turn into silence
All the pain we lived in life
Now there is no violence

We cannot change our homeland
There is no need to hide
Home is always with us
No matter where we reside

A timeless place of comfort
Where we are free from pain
The place where there is warmth of love
And the sunshine follows rain
