Please, Just Let Me In.

You've shut the door and bolted it
While I am in the cold,
Please just let me get inside
I need you just to hold.
I know we had an argument,
I know we had a fight,
But surely we can make it up,
I really think we might.
So come on over to the door,
Take off that stupid chain,
You can't leave me standing here
Bleeding out real pain.
Let me say I'm sorry and
I'll speak of my regret
And in time we'll both forgive
And maybe we'll forget.
But unless you open up this door
We will never know
And you'll be left with all the guilt
Of making me just go.
So come on now and do your part,
Please, just let me in.
The process of recovery
You will let begin.
