 Black-eyed diamond

Lost in the dark.

Seeking ever some small spark

Joy to light the way.

A flame in the pitch, a burning itch.

Desiring only to un-see.

Turmoil and strife coil in her gut

Like the worm, that eats the sod.

A band of steel to warp the soul

Ever an empty endless hole.

The seed that ere’ saw the sun

Comes struggling to break the clay.

See her now, her fight goes on,

Withered now with grief.

But bold the heart that lies beneath

and strong the beat

That bleeds.

Ever grasping, ever reaching to hold the

Futile weed.

Demons from another shore

Haunt the days forever more.

They pull and hold her legs so weak.

But ever onward does she seek.

Brave soldier child has grown so wild.

Tattooed with lashes many.

Seek your Glory black eyed diamond

Seek the upper ground.

For once  you were lost, but now are found.
