Come Child,

and learn the way of the River.

We have a far journey ahead.

For the River is long and diverse.

Come Child,

and I will teach you the way of the River.

The River is calmest here.

It is shallow and moves at the smallest touch.

Yet here it streams steady past us.

Forward, ever onward.

As does the willow bend before the wind,

does the stream bend to the bank.

Fastest are the Swifts.

Watch while they skip and hop,

full of energy and motion.

Yet under the surface the pull is frail,

many brave souls will not cross.

Fear not the illusion of strength.

Can you see the far side of the River Child?

The water seems placid and slow.

Reach out and feel the currents below.

Can you feel their force?

Beware the unseen danger,

and respect the River above all else.

Come Child,

For there is one last sight to see

There is no end to the Ocean.

All Rivers find their home here.

However, the Ebb and Flow of the Ocean is ruled by another,

the Moon.

Now you must reflect Child,

For the River is long and diverse.
