Is kindness not a disease of a heart,

Who's words of love haven't yet been professed.

And so it keep it's secrets,

Hidden in the chest.

A few escape it quickly-

And doomed are the rest.

A love without a vow,

A love of green and gray,

No one to see it bloom;

Nor wither away.

And that is why I'm kind.

And why my eyes are gentle.

If you were to cut me open,

I wouldn't even tremble.
