This is a poem based around people and them having their voices heard from behind the brutality of their oppressors. This is for every person who has ever been bullied or abused because of who they are, what they look like or where they are from. I hope you enjoy it

I sat, I listened, I stood and obeyed,
I followed your lead, never once went astray.
I endured torture, hurt, suffering and chains,
Why didn't you stop when I yelled out in pain...
It was all because of you,
That my hate and resentment grew.
'Til that day I made the toughest choice,
That YOU would finally hear MY voice,

I'll walk among the brave and bold,

in my hands a new life to hold.

I'll take the reins on my OWN life,
Harness the grief, suffering and strife,
No more! No more!
I walked among the brave and bold,
Tossed you out into the cold.
When the dust had all settled, and the pain was all gone,
I looked in the mirror...A new day had dawned.
I sat there in a reverie,
amazed at this glorious feat,
A new world had come...
...a world I'd soon meet.

My heart once heavy with hate,
Had somehow accepted its certain fate,
That life may not always be good,
But I survived it the best that I could.
I busted through the wall,
I then forget it all.
I put aside my fears, and dried away my tears.
I walked among the brave and bold...
